At the meeting, leaders of Nghe An Department of Health and the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of the townHoang Maidiscussed solutions to speed up the sampling of all F2 cases in the area. Accordingly: Through investigation and review, the authorities have identified 97 F1 cases and 973 F2 cases of patient 3098; there are 12 cases who have been to or passed throughK Hospital(facility 3 in Tan Trieu, Thanh Tri district, Hanoi) and return to Nghe An province within 21 days from April 16, 2021. Currently, the number of F2 cases in the wards and communes of Hoang Mai town is still high.

The leaders of Nghe An Department of Health and the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Hoang Mai town agreed to assign responsibility to Dr. Pham Dinh Du - Deputy Director of Nghe An Provincial Center for Disease Control as the head of the sample collection team.

The Department of Health has dispatched an additional team of 5 people from Dien Chau District Medical Center to Hoang Mai tonight to strengthen the sampling work.

The working group for collecting specimens currently includes medical staff from Hoang Mai Medical Center, Quynh Luu Medical Center, Quang Khoi General Hospital, Quang Thanh General Hospital, Dien Chau Medical Center and Nghe An Provincial Center for Disease Control. In order to complete the sampling work as planned, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control has summoned secretaries and chairmen of communes and wards with related cases to attend meetings with the Sampling Working Group; and sent officers to participate and go to the homes to collect samples.

The leaders of Nghe An Department of Health and the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Hoang Mai town have also agreed on other urgent Covid-19 prevention and control solutions to be implemented tonight and tomorrow, such as: Continuing to promote the work of screening and tracing F1 and F2 cases; issuing a decision to establish a quarantine area, setting out regulations for the quarantine area, assigning responsibility for monitoring and managing the quarantine area to each participating member; installing a camera system for the quarantine area; conducting an assessment to expand the quarantine area in the event of an increase in F1 cases.
