Nghe An: Highlights on June 26

*SJune 26, Nghe An Provincial Center for Disease Control informed3 new cases of Covid-19 infection detectedin the localities of Vinh city and Nam Dan district. These newly discovered cases are all directly or indirectly related to the wholesale market in Vinh city.

*TMeanwhile, in Quan Bau ward, local leaders haveBlockade of lane 21, Le Ninh street, block 4 with a total of 15 households, 53 people, where there are 2 cases positive for SARS-CoV-2, including 1 case trading at Vinh wholesale market.

*TAs of 7:00 a.m. on June 26, Nghe An province had 62 F0 cases - Covid-19 infections. According to the authorities,There are four main groups involved in the infection.in Nghe An province.

The first related group involved 2 Covid-19 infected cases from Huong Son district (Ha Tinh) on June 5, 2021, in contact with patient 10732 (NTM) with a total of 52 F0, including 1 outbreak at Vinh wholesale market with 14 cases (9 direct cases, 5 secondary infections; on the night of June 25 alone, 5 new cases were discovered).

The second related group from Bac Giang province returned to Nghe An.

The third related group has an F0 case on the Trung Duc - Hai Phong bus; there are 2 cases in Quynh Luu district.

Fourth related group: This is a transient case, a driver from Quang Ngai passing through (no contact with anyone).

*CConcerned that wholesale markets and markets in Vinh city could easily become hotbeds for Covid-19 spread if they were allowed to continue operating, some units proposed to temporarily suspend operations there. However, the Provincial People's Committee did not agree with the proposal. Instead,require tight controlin markets where the epidemic has not yet appeared.

For markets where the epidemic has occurred, the provincial leaders requested the Chairman of the People's Committee of districts, cities and towns to direct departments and units to coordinate with relevant functional forces to carry out blockades, epidemiological investigations, disinfection spraying... according to regulations. When conditions are met, they will reopen operations to ensure goods are served to people in the area.

For markets where the epidemic has not yet appeared, local leaders are responsible for directing forces to block the entrances to the market, leaving only 1-2 entrances and exits. Arrange forces to control and guide the implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures. Arrange mask sales points, organize body temperature measurement and require hand sanitizer for all traders and customers entering the market.
