(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 28, at the online meeting summarizing the 2020-2021 school year, the Prime Minister requested the development of a plan to vaccinate students against Covid-19 in the context of the new school year approaching. Meanwhile, this morning in Nghe An, 7 new infections were recorded, much lower than the previous day. And according to information, through screening for nearly 300,000 people in Vinh city, 30 cases were found positive for SARS-CoV-2.

*SOn August 28, the Ministry of Education and Training held an online conference to summarize the 2020-2021 school year andimplementing tasks for 2021-2022.

Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the Covid-19 epidemic is developing complicatedly and we must not be subjective or negligent. Currently, many localities are having to practice social distancing, people are facing difficulties, especially students. There are only a few days left until the opening day of the school year, but in many localities it cannot be done because of the priority of epidemic prevention and control tasks.

The Prime Minister said that the epidemic is disrupting social activities. The Party, State and Government understand and share the difficulties that teachers, students and parents have had to endure during the past time. Therefore, we must pay more attention to teaching and learning during this difficult time with a spirit of perseverance and determination, no matter how difficult it is, we must do it.

Regarding the 2021-2022 school year, the Prime Minister affirmed that the Government will have solutions to ensure school safety by developing a vaccination plan for students.

*CIn Nghe An, Nghe An Center for Disease Control informed: In the past 12 hours (from 6:00 p.m. on August 27 to 6:00 a.m. on August 28), Nghe An07 new positive cases recordedwith Covid-19. Of which, 02 are community cases, 05 were previously isolated.

Localities that recorded new positive cases (3 localities) in the past 12 hours include: Cua Lo Town: 03, Vinh City: 02, Yen Thanh: 02. Vinh City alone has 02 community cases in Hung Binh Ward... Thus, the newly discovered Covid-19 infections are all in hot spots that are implementing social distancing to prevent and control the epidemic.

*LRegarding the issue mentioned by the Director of Nghe An Department of Health, on the afternoon of August 28, Ms. Tran Thi Cam Tu - Vice Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee said that the city has just started2nd large-scale sampling campaign"This campaign will collect samples from nearly 65,000 people in high-risk wards and communes. It is expected to be collected in one afternoon," said Ms. Tu.

According to Ms. Tu, in the first campaign, Vinh city took samples for testing for more than 288,000 people, reaching 84% of the population. The results showed that so far, more than 30 positive cases have been detected, mostly concentrated in these 4 wards and communes. A few remaining samples are awaiting confirmation testing.

*CAlso in Vinh city - the epicenter of the fourth outbreak in Nghe An has just been establishedestablish command centerand Covid-19 prevention and control working group.

*SOn August 28, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union - Provincial Youth Union - Provincial Student Association organized the program "Social security gift bags - sharing love, joining hands to overcome the pandemic".

According to statistics from the Vinh City People's Committee, since the first Covid-19 infection case appeared in Vinh City on June 13, Vinh City has had 1,211 cases of violations of regulations on epidemic prevention and control with a total fine of nearly 2.9 billion VND.
