Nghe An: Highlights on February 9

*SOn February 9, the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province organizedThe first consultative conferenceUnify the structure, composition, and number of candidates for the 15th National Assembly and the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026.

Pursuant to the Law on Election of Deputies to the National Assembly and People's Councils 2015, Joint Resolution No. 09/2021 on guiding the process of consultation and introduction of candidates for National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels, term 2021-2026.

For Nghe An province, after discussing and agreeing with the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province plans to allocate 13 candidates for the 15th National Assembly. Of which, 7 are delegates residing and working in Nghe An, and 6 are delegates recommended by the Central Government.

The number of elected delegates to the 18th term of Nghe An Provincial People's Council (2021-2026 term) is 83, including 47 provincial delegates, 21 district delegates, 7 commune delegates, and 8 other organizations.

*CThe Chairman of the Vinh City People's Committee has sent a document to the wards and communes in the area and the Vinh City Police Department regarding the implementation of measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic. Accordingly, starting from February 9, Vinh City willhandling cases of not wearing maskswhen walking on the street and in public places.

*Lrelated to the Tet event, but the unfortunate incident is that 180 drivers of Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company wereillegal striketo protest against the Tet bonus not being equal to other departments.

After the incident, Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company worked with relevant parties and conducted dialogue to educate drivers on the issue. By February 9, more than 120 drivers had returned to work. The company also resolutely terminated the labor contracts of 36 FC drivers who had behaved inappropriately and enticed other employees to act inappropriately.
