Nghe An deploys voter contact work, election campaign for XV National Assembly deputies, XVIII Provincial People's Council
(Baonghean.vn) - The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province has arranged a schedule to meet voters to campaign for elections starting from May 5 to May 18, 2021.
On the morning of April 27, in Vinh City, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province held a conference to deploy voter contact and election campaign work for candidates for the 15th National Assembly and the 18th Nghe An Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term.

"6 NO'S" IN ELECTION CAMPAIGN
The conference heard the announcement of the list of 23 candidates for the 15th National Assembly from 5 constituencies in the province and heard the announcement of the Resolution on the announcement of the official list of candidates for the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026 from 26 constituencies, including 138 candidates.

Official list of candidates for the 18th Nghe An Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026
(Baonghean.vn) - On April 24, 2021, the Nghe An Provincial Election Committee issued Resolution No. 84/NQ-UBBC on announcing the official list of candidates for the People's Council of Nghe An province for the 2021-2026 term according to each constituency.
Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented a report on the socio-economic situation in 2020 and the first quarter of 2021 of the province.

The delegates also discussed some contents on building and planning an action program. The action program needs to have specific and clear content in accordance with the functions and tasks of the candidates, committing to the implementation of the responsibilities of the delegates to the voters and the people.
The candidate's proposed action program should be brief, clearly stating the candidate's full name, occupation, position, address, and signed by the candidate and sent to the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province before April 30, 2021.

The conference also approved the Plan to organize a conference to meet with voters so that candidates can carry out election campaigning work. The conference is aimed at creating conditions for candidates to meet and contact voters to report to voters their expected action programs if elected as deputies to the 15th National Assembly and the 18th Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term.
Through the contact conference, voters will better understand the candidates, thereby considering and choosing to elect qualified people to be National Assembly deputies and provincial People's Council deputies.
The election campaign is conducted democratically, publicly, equally, in accordance with the law, ensuring political security and social order and safety. Candidates for National Assembly deputies and provincial People's Council deputies in any constituency shall carry out election campaign in that constituency.

In particular, election campaigns must not be used to propagate against the Constitution and the law or to harm the honor, dignity, reputation, rights and other legitimate interests of organizations and individuals. Election campaigns must not be turned into a place for complaints, denunciations or for resolving complaints and denunciations.
Do not take advantage of election campaigns to solicit funding or donations domestically or internationally for your organization or individual. Do not use or promise to donate, give, or support money, property, or material benefits to entice or bribe voters.
Do not abuse your position or power to use the mass media in election campaigns. Election organizations and their members are not allowed to campaign for candidates.

According to Plan No. 61 of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, the time to organize meetings with voters for candidates to campaign for election is from April 28, 2021 to May 22, 2021 (including Saturday and Sunday if necessary).
Each district, city, and town organizes at least 2 to 4 meetings with voters and candidates for National Assembly deputies; each constituency organizes at least 6 meetings with voters and candidates for provincial People's Council deputies. To ensure the consistency of the election campaign, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province has arranged a schedule for meeting with voters starting from May 5 to May 18, 2021.
CANDIDATES SHOULD PRIORITIZE TIME PARTICIPATING IN ACTIVITIES
ELECTION CAMPAIGN
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the conference, emphasizing that in order to organize and implement the election campaign well, comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province suggested that candidates need to develop a plan of action with the correct content and duration suitable for each form of election campaign and each locality, and send it to the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province within the prescribed time.

Candidates also need to arrange their professional work, prioritize participation in election campaign activities as planned; proactively and closely contact the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the district level where the candidate is and the officials of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province assigned to monitor the districts, cities and towns.
Candidates need to coordinate well with Nghe An Newspaper, Nghe An Radio and Television Station and other press agencies to carry out election campaign work well.
Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh also requested the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the district level to proactively coordinate with the People's Committee at the same level to develop a plan to chair the organization of specific voter contact conferences in each locality; notify candidates 7 days in advance about the time and location of the conference so that candidates can fully attend; it is possible to organize combined voter contact conferences but not more than two levels.

The Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct local media agencies to step up propaganda and election campaigning, publish the entire list, brief biographies, and action programs of candidates for National Assembly deputies and provincial People's Council deputies in each constituency; spend a reasonable amount of time to disseminate the action programs of candidates, ensuring that all candidates for National Assembly deputies and provincial People's Council deputies are published, recorded, and broadcast on local media.
