Nghe An: Gambling den busted on acacia hill, 20 suspects arrested

At 6:00 p.m. on October 18, 2021, in the acacia hill area of ​​Chau Thanh hamlet, Tam Hop commune, Quy Hop district, more than 60 officers and soldiers from the Criminal Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police and Quy Hop District Police deployed to raid the gambling area.

Discovered by the police, the subjects got into a 16-seat car torun awayHowever, the police force quickly controlled and arrested 19 subjects on the spot, the total amount of money seized was more than 400 million VND, including many subjects with many criminal records, including 6 women participating.

Authorities clarified that this gang was led by Dao The Hong (born in 1967), residing in Quy Hop district. Hong assigned specific tasks to other subjects to organize the gambling den, including the task of using a 16-seat car to transport gamblers to a pre-arranged location. Hong's son, Dao Xuan Tan (born in 1992), was responsible for keeping watch while the gambling den was operating.

On October 20, 2021, the Criminal Police Department coordinated with the Quy Hop District Police to execute a search warrant at the residence of the ringleader, Dao The Hong, and continued to pursue the fugitives. At 4:00 p.m. the same day, Dao Xuan Tan was arrested while hiding in Quy Hop District.

Currently, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Province Police is continuing to investigate, expand, and arrest the remaining subjects./.
