Nghe An: 13 F0 cases appear to be students, a mountainous school temporarily suspends teaching
(Baonghean.vn) - Quy Hop Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities is currently a complicated epidemic area in Quy Hop district with 16 F0 cases, of which 13 F0 are students.
Quy Hop Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities(Quy Hop Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities) is located in Quy Hop town. The school has a total of 293 students from 20 communes in Quy Hop district and 42 teachers and staff. On the afternoon of January 11, this school recorded 16 positive cases of Covid-19, including 13 students and 3 school nurses.
It is known that the beginning of this cluster of cases was a male student of NTCP, born in 2008, residing in Chau Thai commune, Quy Hop district, who was picked up by his family to go to Nghe An General Hospital for medical examination. Here, the student was tested positive for Covid-19. After that, the school conducted tests on all students, teachers, and school staff and recorded 12 more students and 3 caregivers infected with the disease.

Identify this as a complex cluster of diseases,Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Quy Hop Districtworked directly with schools and local authorities to direct epidemic prevention work.
Mr. Nguyen Son Ha - Principal of the school said: "After receiving the test results, the school has isolated high-risk F0 and F1 students, disinfected the entire school, notified and encouraged the students and their families. Currently, the school has temporarily suspended the students until further notice. The students' health is stable."
The school has also been working hard to trace the situation, and has so far identified 117 F1s of the patients.
Mr. Hoang Van Thai - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quy Hop district added: "Currently, the locality has directed to take F0 students to the treatment facility at the district Cultural Center. F1 students are brought to quarantine in the communes, requiring the Steering Committee for epidemic prevention and control of localities and the community Covid-19 team to closely monitor. F2 students are brought to quarantine at home and must ensure epidemic prevention and control measures according to regulations...".
