'Long school break has not affected Nghe An province's school year plan'
(Baonghean.vn)- Nghe An has less than a week off and has 2 weeks planned for the school year. If schools organize 2 sessions/day and make up classes on Saturday or Sunday, they can still ensure the program according to the plan.
Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh said that the school break until the end of February has not affected the school year plan of Nghe An province at the inspection of Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control work in Con Cuong district on the afternoon of February 20.
The delegation inspected the following schools: Bong Khe Kindergarten; Con Cuong Town Primary School; Con Cuong High School.

In recent times, although the work of disease prevention and control has been very urgent in difficult conditions, all schools are currently implementing the contents well according to the proposed scenario. In particular, the main focus is on cleaning and disinfecting all classrooms and learning materials, and strengthening propaganda work.
According to the district's synthesis, 48/48 schools have been sprayed with disinfectant (first time) and 8/48 schools have been sprayed with disinfectant (second time).

In addition, in recent times, many schools have proactively installed more hand washing taps, with more than 1,100 hand washing taps for students and teachers, or purchased more hand sanitizer for schools to equip in classrooms.
At the meeting, Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh highly appreciated the efforts of all schools in the district.

In the coming time, the Covid-19 epidemic is forecast to continue to have unpredictable developments, so the Department's leaders require schools not to be subjective in the period of disease prevention and control, especially in school sanitation. In addition, schools also need to prepare the best conditions to prepare to welcome students back.
In the context of schools' extremely limited regular budget, the Department encourages schools to mobilize additional social resources to purchase additional chemicals and disinfectant solutions for schools and teachers to maintain continuously for many months.

The Director of the Department of Education and Training also reminded schools to pay attention to providing review guidance for students during the long break, including paying attention to students in schools in disadvantaged areas.
In the near future, school learning is expected to return to normal. Therefore, schools also need to come up with many ways to organize teaching for students and avoid interruptions or shortages in the program.

The Department Director also calculated that if students are off school until the end of February, Nghe An's school year schedule will not change much and can still end before May 31. Because currently, compared to other provinces, Nghe An has 1 week less off and has 2 weeks planned for the school year. For the remaining week, if schools organize 2 sessions/day and make up for it on Saturday or Sunday, the program can still be guaranteed according to the plan.
On this occasion, the Department also donated more than 1,000 antibacterial soaps to schools in the area and plans to continue donating more than 4,000 antibacterial soaps to Que Phong, Quy Chau, Tuong Duong and Ky Son districts.
