Suspect holding gun was charged with 3 crimes

According to the investigation, in early November, Hoang Anh ordered an air gun online from a northern province for 4 million VND. On the morning of November 7, while he was in a motel in Quang Trung commune, Long Khanh city, the police asked him to check his documents because they discovered suspicious signs.

Hoang Anh then took a gun and ran out into the street to control people and steal his motorbike, then ran to his mother's house in Xuan Bac commune, Xuan Loc district. After a fight with his brothers, he controlled his younger brother and took him to a truck to escape.

Arriving at Bau Coi market area, Bao Quang commune, Long Khanh city, Hoang Anh’s car was stopped by the traffic police. He ran into a house, held a gun, threatened the female homeowner and stole her motorbike. While he was struggling to get the motorbike, this person ran out and locked the door.

Hundreds of police from many forces were mobilized to surround the house. The man made petrol bombs, fired many warning shots, and threatened to burn down houses. After more than 2 hours of persuasion, the police agreed to let his relatives take him home to "apologize to his mother". Seeing his younger brother coming by on a motorbike, he got out with a gun and homemade explosives. After only going about 10 meters, a special reconnaissance unit from the surrounding area rushed out, knocked him down, took his gun, and arrested him.
