Nghia Dan speeds up the progress of completing the criteria for new rural construction

By the end of 2022, 3 communes of Nghia Dan district, including Nghia Yen, Nghia Mai and Nghia Lam, had basically completed the criteria for building new rural areas. At the same time, Nghia Binh commune also achieved 19/19 criteria for building advanced new rural areas according to regulations.

Currently, the People's Committees of communes are coordinating with district-level departments and branches to firmly consolidate the criteria and complete the supporting documents, advising the District People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Office for New Rural Development to consider and appraise the new rural and advanced new rural areas for the above communes in early 2023.

To achieve that result, in 2022, Nghia Dan district implemented many solutions, issued 65 guiding, directing and operating documents, ensuring comprehensive leadership of the entire political system to participate in building new rural areas.

The departments and branches also advised and connected the three communes of Nghia Binh, Nghia Khanh and Nghia Mai to visit and learn from experiences in building new rural areas in Yen Thanh and Dien Chau districts; coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Transport, Department of Natural Resources and Environment to inspect and evaluate the indicators and criteria of the departments in charge of the communes of Nghia Yen, Nghia Lam, Nghia Mai and Nghia Binh.

At the same time, the district directed district-level departments, branches and units located in the area to continue joining hands and providing financial support of more than 160 million VND to help 19 villages (Nghia Yen, Nghia Lam, Nghia Mai communes) complete the criteria for building new rural areas.

In the process of directing the construction of new rural areas, all levels of sectors and localities in Nghia Dan have strengthened propaganda and mobilized the cooperation of the whole society to strive to complete the criteria firmly. At the same time, localities have actively encouraged people to promote economic development and increase income. Notably, farmers in localities have competed to build new rural standard gardens in the direction of increasing the value of crops and livestock. Up to now, in the district, there are 44 standard gardens that meet the criteria, with income from 80 million VND to 500 million VND/year.

Currently, Nghia Dan district has 2 communes, Nghia Tho and Nghia Lac, which will register to meet new rural standards in 2023, when 22/22 communes of the district will complete new rural construction. At the same time, Nghia Hieu commune strives to meet advanced new rural standards.

With such progress, along with solutions to promote the implementation of criteria for building a new rural district, it is expected that by 2024, Nghia Dan district can complete the goal of building a new rural district, 1 year earlier than planned.
