Sleeping early warns of heart disease in men
A Japanese study shows that the habit of going to bed early can warn of high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease in men.
"Early bedtime is associated with high blood pressure," said Dr. Nobuo Sasaki from Hiroshima University (Japan), who led the study.
According to Independent, Dr. Nobuo and his colleagues studied the sleeping habits of 2,400 adult volunteers and found that men with high blood pressure slept at 11:10 p.m. on average, 18 minutes earlier than healthy men. However, prolonged rest did not help the body lower blood pressure. The sleep quality of men with high blood pressure is relatively low due to tossing and turning.

Dr. Nobuo explained that men with high blood pressure often go to bed early because their poor health makes them tired quickly. In addition, high blood pressure can also change the biological clock.
