The man brought oranges to Anh Son land
(Baonghean.vn) - With diligence, hard work and boldness in converting crop structure, Mr. Pham Van Ngoc has successfully brought pomelo trees to Khai Son commune, Anh Son district (Nghe An).
At the end of the year, we visited the famous orange garden of Mr. Pham Van Ngoc's family in village 2, Khai Son commune, the first person to grow this type of orange in Anh Son.
Since 2007, Mr. Ngoc's family has invested capital in growing orange trees on the family's hilly land.
Up to now, after 10 years of hard work, his family has 1,000 orange trees, of which more than 200 have been harvested.
The special thing is that thanks to the application of techniques, the orange garden is harvested on the occasion of Lunar New Year, which is very convenient for consumption. Not only was he successful in bringing orange trees back to his homeland, Mr. Ngoc also regularly shared and instructed orange growing techniques for other households in the commune and some neighboring communes.
With diligence, hard work, knowing how to apply techniques and boldly converting crop structure, Mr. Pham Van Ngoc has been successful with new crops and brought in high income.

Currently, the whole Anh Son district has 115 hectares of oranges, including the Bu oranges which usually ripen during the Lunar New Year and therefore have high prices. In particular, the Bu orange tree is showing its value, each kilogram of Bu oranges costs from 70,000 to 90,000 VND/kg, bringing a considerable income to farmers.
