Man in Vinh city fined 35 million VND for refusing to measure alcohol concentration

A man in Vinh city refused to comply with a request to measure his alcohol concentration. During the process, the authorities discovered that he did not have many vehicle documents with him.

On June 14, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh signed a decision to impose an administrative penalty on Mr. LHT (born in 1986), residing in Hung Binh Ward, Vinh City. The decision clearly stated that this man had committed 5 administrative violations in the field of road traffic.

Specifically, at 9:10 p.m. on May 15, 2024, Mr. LHT drove a car with license plate 37A - 282xx on the road without complying with the request of the officer on duty to check the alcohol concentration.

During the police inspection, Mr. LHT could not present the vehicle registration, technical safety and environmental protection inspection certificate, driver's license and did not have a certificate of civil liability insurance of the motor vehicle owner.

For not complying with the alcohol test request, Mr. LHT was fined 35 million VND and had his driver's license revoked for 23 months, starting from June 14. The remaining 4 administrative violations of Mr. LHT were fined from 300,000 VND to 500,000 VND.

The total fine Mr. LHT must pay is 36.4 million VND.
