On December 30, Ky Son District Police said that on the morning of December 30, Vi Van Phong, born in 1967, residing in Yen Hoa village, My Ly commune, came to My Ly commune police headquarters tosurrenderand handed over 20 synthetic drug tablets.
Vi Van Phong confessed that he had previously purchased the drugs from an unknown Mong person in the Vietnam - Laos border area.

Previously, at 10:45 p.m. on December 29, a working group consisting of police from My Ly, Bac Ly, and Huoi Tu communes, co-chaired and coordinated with My Ly Border Guard Station, was on duty in Yen Hoa village, My Ly commune when they discovered Luong Van Nam, born in 1988, with permanent residence in Yen Hoa village, My Ly commune, illegally storing drugs. The authorities seized 3 synthetic drug tablets from Nam. Through investigation, it was learned that Nam had purchased the drugs with Vi Van Phong. After Nam was arrested, Vi Van Phong went to My Ly commune police headquarters to surrender and hand over the evidence of the violation.
Currently, the above 2 subjects have been handed over to the District Police for investigation and handling according to authority./.
