Workers' retirement "suspended" because of incorrect job title in insurance book

The company currently has 310 employees and 100% of them are covered by social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance. The cost of paying the above 3 types of insurance up to September 2018 is 5,735 billion VND, of which the amount paid is 3,6 billion VND and the remaining amount to be paid is 2,135 billion VND.

Explaining the delay in paying social insurance, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hai - General Director said: Currently, many projects constructed by the company have been completed but have not been paid by the investor with a large amount of outstanding debt, which has affected the production and business situation; at the same time, he affirmed that by the end of this year, the payment of the above types of insurance for employees will be completed.

At the meeting, the leader of Joint Stock Company 473 said that according to regulations, employees with 20 years of work experience or more, including 15 years of especially heavy work regardless of age, and with a 61% health loss, are entitled to early retirement benefits.

However, the problem that the company is facing is that there are workers in this category whose job titles in the Social Insurance book are often recorded according to their common job names or according to their trained profession; instead of recording correctly and fully according to the list of arduous, toxic, dangerous and especially arduous, toxic, dangerous occupations issued by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.

Before August 2017, these workers were still eligible for retirement. However, since then, the Social Insurance Agency has not accepted the settlement and requested the unit to fully adjust according to the list of occupations and jobs issued by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hai said that the company has submitted a document requesting to adjust the job title and hopes that the competent authority will soon issue a document approving the adjustment to ensure the rights and policies for the employees. Because currently the company has 6-7 employees in the above category who have not yet been resolved for retirement.
