(Baonghean.vn) - Hearing the news that a fishing boat sank at the Gianh River estuary (Quang Binh), causing 6 people to fall into the sea, relatives in the fishing village of Son Hai (Quynh Luu) were extremely shocked and worried.
As reported, on the morning of September 5, after taking shelter from storm No. 4, Nghe An fishing boat with registration number NA 93010 TS had just left Gianh estuary (Quang Binh) about 10 nautical miles to the East when it was sunk by large waves.
On the morning of September 6, Nghe An Newspaper reporters were present in Son Hai commune. A gloomy atmosphere covered the coastal village. Everyone was talking about the village ship that sank in Quang Binh and the 6 crew members who fell into the sea and were still missing.

Mr. Hoang Son - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Hai Commune, Quynh Luu District said: At 3:00 a.m. this morning (September 6), local leaders including the Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Hai Commune went to Quang Binh province, where the fishermen went missing, to coordinate with Quang Binh authorities in the search.
Since yesterday afternoon and this morning, Son Hai commune has sent organizations to the homes of the missing fishermen to encourage and visit them.

Contacting the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Search and Rescue of Quang Binh province, we learned that: Currently, there are 6 units searching for the missing person, including the Navy ship of Region 3, ship CN 09 of Con Co Border Guard Station (Quang Tri), Hai Van ship (Da Nang Port Tugboat Joint Stock Company), 4 commercial ships and fishing boats of Nghe An fishermen.

Rescue work was urgently planned and deployed since yesterday afternoon, but as of 9:00 a.m. on September 6, the 6 missing crew members had not yet been found.
According to the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Quang Binh province, due to the area where fishing boat NA93010 TS encountered the accident, large waves, strong winds, and the Gianh River channel discharging hydroelectric water into the sea, causing strong currents, the search for the victims encountered many difficulties.
