(Baonghean.vn) - Hearing the news of his mother's death but unable to return for the funeral, Nguyen Huu Giap suppressed his grief and asked to set up an altar for his mother in the quarantine area at Nghia Dan District Medical Center.
On April 2, Nguyen Huu Giap was performing his quarantine duties at the Nghia Dan District Medical Center when he heard that his mother had passed away in his hometown of Thanh Chuong. Despite his grief, he still strictly followed the quarantine regulations.

Upon receiving the information, the Steering Committee of the Nghia Dan District Quarantine Area encouraged and explained the current epidemic prevention and control work, and at the same time bought incense bowls and fruits for Mr. Giap to set up an altar in the quarantine area to commemorate his deceased mother and informed the people in quarantine in the area to encourage and share.
It is known that Mr. Giap has just returned to Vietnam from Laos so he must enter a centralized quarantine area for 14 days as prescribed to prevent Covid-19.
