(Baonghean.vn) - Fire Police Department No. 1 has inspected and re-inspected 117 gas business establishments; made 08 records of administrative violations, and imposed a fine of 9,100,000 VND.

Fire Police Department No. 1 has just organized a fire safety inspection in liquefied petroleum gas business activities in the city.

Through inspection, some facilities have not seriously implemented preservation and maintenance work, so fire fighting equipment is not guaranteed, regulations, signs, and instructions are blurred, damaged but have not been supplemented or replaced in time or are obscured by other objects.

Notably, gas business establishments still have many limitations such as: Fire prevention and fighting work of some establishments is still in a perfunctory nature; fire prevention and fighting plans are not built according to regulations and have not been approved by the Fire Police Department.

In particular, on-site fire fighting equipment is still lacking. Some establishments have not yet purchased compulsory fire and explosion insurance as stipulated in Decree 130 of the Government. The electrical system design has not met explosion-proof safety standards, and electrical wires have not been placed in protective tubes. Many gas stores do not have backup escape routes./.
