In the 2019 winter crop, in Thanh Chuong district, a number of businesses surveyed land to sign contracts with localities to produce a number of commodity products.
Mr. Tran Phi Hung - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Thanh Chuong district said: Currently, there are enterprises surveying and contracting to plant 30 hectares of sweet corn in Thanh Nho commune and 100 hectares of sweet potatoes in some communes: Thanh An, Thanh Ngoc, Ngoc Son, and Thanh Duong. Sweet potatoes are purchased by enterprises to process starch, so people grow one variety of sweet potatoes, HNV1.
In Yen Thanh district, this winter crop, some businesses have also signed contracts to produce and consume products: 12 hectares of mint in Lang Thanh, Bao Thanh; 7 hectares of soybeans in the communes of Cong Thanh, Minh Thanh, Hung Thanh and Lang Thanh. In addition, some organizations have signed contracts to grow waxy corn in Minh Thanh and Thinh Thanh communes.
Mr. Tran Khanh Tung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Minh Thanh Commune (Yen Thanh) said: In the commune, there is a business that has contracted to grow 6 hectares of sticky corn. In early September, people started planting corn under contract, which is currently growing well.

In the 2019 winter crop, Dien Nguyen commune (Dien Chau) planted 10 hectares of chili for the first time under a product consumption contract with an enterprise.
Recently, the company went to the locality to survey the land and signed a contract with the locality to produce 10 hectares of chili. Accordingly, the company committed to purchasing all products at market prices, but at a minimum of VND5,000/kg of green chili and VND6,000/kg of ripe chili.

Mr. Le The Hieu - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Dien Chau district added: In the winter crop of 2019, many enterprises in the district signed contracts with communes to produce and consume winter crops. Accordingly, the communes registered to grow 25 hectares of potatoes in Dien Hung, Dien Trung; 40 hectares of chili in Dien Phong, Dien Nguyen... 120 hectares of cucumbers in Dien Tho, Dien Hong, Dien Loc communes... and 1,500 hectares of corn in the communes of the coastal areas.
Most businesses supply seeds to farmers, then purchase the products according to the commitment.
Currently, localities are implementing winter crop planting, many localities sign contracts with enterprises to produce and consume products. Of which, corn production for crops has the largest contracted area.
Other products such as potatoes, chili, cucumbers... are often deployed on a small scale in localities. During the implementation process, localities need to pay attention to signing contracts with reputable businesses, and at the same time instruct farmers to produce effectively, in order to meet the product requirements of businesses.
