Many cultural and sports activities in Qua Son Temple Festival 2019

Cultural and sports activities of the Qua Son Temple Festival this year take place from February 20 (January 16 of the lunar calendar). The opening of the series of cultural and sports activities of the festival is the women's volleyball tournament taking place over 4 days, with 34 women's volleyball teams from 33 communes, towns and units participating.

Immediately after the opening match, the teams entered the match at 3 football fields: Qua Son Temple, Ba But Pagoda and Cultural House of Hamlet 6, Boi Son Commune.

From now until the main holiday (20th lunar month), many cultural, sports and folk games will take place such as: Stick pushing, blindfolded pig catching, blindfolded pot smashing, men's volleyball tournament...

Qua Son Temple Festival takes place from the 18th to the 20th of the first lunar month every year, commemorating and expressing gratitude for the great contributions of Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang and other deities who have contributed to the country and the people. With unique traditional rituals, along with exciting cultural and sports activities, the festival attracts many people and tourists from all over the world.

At this year's Qua Son Temple Festival, there will be a ceremony to announce the decisions to recognize the Qua Son Temple Festival as an intangible cultural heritage included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the Provincial People's Committee will recognize the Qua Son Temple Historical and Cultural Relic tourist site.
