Many meaningful activities on the occasion of Book Festival and Reading Culture Day in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - The Book and Reading Culture Festival in Nghe An took place enthusiastically with many meaningful activities to develop the reading movement and build a reading culture in the whole province.
On April 18, in Vinh city, the Department of Culture and Sports, the Provincial Library coordinated with the Department of Education and Training of Vinh city, Nghe An Publishing House and a number of agencies and units to organize the 2021 Book and Reading Culture Festival with the theme "Books - Raising Dreams". This is a practical activity to celebrate Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21 every year).

Speaking at the welcoming ceremony and launching the reading culture movement, comrade Quach Thi Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports affirmed that in recent times, the building and development of reading culture in Nghe An has made progress.libraryPublic services have been widely developed from province to district and are reaching many communes, wards and towns.
The province currently has 01 provincial library, 19 district libraries, and about 350 commune libraries. In addition, there is a system of school libraries, science and technology libraries, military libraries; not to mention many private libraries and family bookcases that are operating quite effectively.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports hopes that all classes of people in Nghe An will promote the tradition of studiousness of their homeland, promote the reading culture movement, especially among students in schools, towards building alearning society.
