Many resettlement areas serving the clearance of the North-South expressway through Nghe An are behind schedule.
(Baonghean.vn) - Checking the construction progress of resettlement areas in the districts of Hung Nguyen and Nghi Loc, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the progress of resettlement areas is slow and requested localities to stay on site and urge contractors to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles to complete construction on schedule.
On the morning of July 29, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the provincial working delegation inspected the progress of the construction of resettlement areas to serve the site clearance of the North-South Expressway through Nghe An. According to the plan, these resettlement areas must be completed before July 30, 2020, however, they have not been completed yet.
The delegation inspected the resettlement areas of Hung Dao, Hung Trung (Hung Nguyen), Nghi Phuong, Nghi Dong (Nghi Loc), and visited some areas where site clearance is still stuck. Currently, the construction progress of the resettlement areas is very slow, the traffic system, drainage ditches, foundations... are all unfinished.

At Nghi Phuong resettlement area (Nghi Loc), construction started on June 6, 2020, organic excavation, power line construction, and drainage ditch construction began. Comrade Le Hong Vinh requested contractors to organize many construction teams and work overtime to speed up progress.
The slow construction of resettlement infrastructure affects the progress of handing over the resettlement land and the construction progress of the North-South Expressway, while this is a key project that needs to be accelerated.
At the scene, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh requested Hung Nguyen and Nghi Loc districts to mobilize the entire political system to participate, make plans to implement the remaining land clearance volume, increase staff, establish many teams to resolutely carry out simultaneously the items of compensation, support, resettlement, and relocation of technical infrastructure works to ensure progress. Review the total amount of land clearance, the plan and progress of disbursement for the project. Focus on making plans and approving payments for the remaining agricultural land, residential land, and garden land that do not need to be resettled.

Focus on inventorying and making compensation plans for households that must be relocated and resettled before August 30, 2020. Organize lotteries to divide resettlement land plots under construction so that households can be proactive in building houses and perform the role of community supervision in the construction of infrastructure in resettlement areas.
Comrade Le Hong Vinh assigned the two localities to preside over and coordinate with the Electricity sector, Project Management Board 6 and relevant departments and branches to check the relocation plan to ensure economic and technical factors, avoiding wasting project funding. Timely review remaining problems and soon have a written report to the Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments and branches for timely consideration and resolution.

The North-South Expressway project through Nghe An province has a length of about 87.84 km, belonging to two sub-projects: Nghi Son - Dien Chau section and Dien Chau - Bai Vot section, passing through Hoang Mai town and the districts of Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, Nghi Loc and Hung Nguyen.
The number of resettled households that must move in Nghe An to serve the construction of the North-South Expressway is 606 households. Of which: Hoang Mai Town has 148 households, Quynh Luu has 44 households, Dien Chau has 119 households, Yen Thanh has 33 households, Nghi Loc has 51 households, and Hung Nguyen has 211 households.
