Previously, the whole family depended on a few fields, so life was very difficult. In 2013, when they received a loan to support poverty reduction and economic development, the family invested in developing a herd of 28 goats, a herd of 4 cows, dug 3 ponds for fish farming and planted 1 hectare of tea. Currently, the income from the VAC integrated model brings the family nearly 100 million VND per year.

In 2016, the family invested in building a solid, closed barn to raise pigs for meat. Each year, they raise 3 batches, each batch from 80 to 100 pigs. After deducting expenses, the family earns over 100 million VND/year. Thanks to that, the family's life has changed day by day, the house is spacious, and the children are fully educated.
In addition to Ms. Bui Thi Dung's pig raising model, the entire village 7 of Thach Son commune currently has over 80 economic development models with high incomes such as models of raising chickens, pigs, models of converting vegetable cultivation on alluvial land, mechanical and carpentry models... Currently, the average income per capita of the village reaches 32 million VND/year, the village has no more hungry households, the number of rich and well-off households accounts for 80%, the number of poor households is only 5 households, accounting for 2.7%.
