On the morning of September 13, leaders of Thanh Nho commune and representatives of the Nho Xuan hamlet Front, Thanh Nho commune visited and encouraged the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhuan, whose son, Nguyen Xuan An (13 years old), drowned in the Giang River while herding cows.

At Mrs. Nhuan's mother's house, local leaders gave 46.7 million VND to Mrs. Nhuan. This is the amount of money that Mr. Dau Ba Duc - Secretary of the Youth Union of Xuan Nho hamlet called on children in and outside the hamlet, children far from home to contribute, to share the pain and hardship of Mrs. Nhuan's family.
Previously, representatives of the Thanh Chuong 2 Association Facebook group and the Thanh Chuong "Xe khong dong" group also visited her house to encourage her and personally handed her 14.5 million VND - the amount raised by the groups.
The staff, teachers and students of Nho Hoa Secondary School, where Nguyen Xuan An studies, have also donated more than 17 million VND to support Ms. Nhuan’s family. As reported by Nghe An Newspaper, on the afternoon of September 8, An was herding cows at Van beach, on the bank of Giang River in Nho Xuan hamlet, Thanh Nho commune, when he drowned.
After nearly 4 days of searching, at around 10am on September 12, search and rescue forces discovered An's body floating on the Giang River, passing through Bai Tran, Thanh Hoa commune, about 3.5km downstream from where he drowned.
An is in 8th grade at Nho Hoa Secondary School. His family is poor, his mother is disabled and is raising 2 children alone. For nearly a year now, An and his brother have been living with their grandmother./.
