On the second floor, the main hall of Vinh market, where many clothing and fashion stores are concentrated, besides the traders busy preparing for the first goods of the year, there are still closed kiosks. Contacting the shop owner via the phone number printed on the advertising board, Ms. Ngoc, a clothing trader at Vinh market, said: "Usually after Tet, people's shopping demand is not high, so opening for business is very slow. Therefore, my family will only sell goods again at the end of January, just rest and go out at the beginning of Spring to relax...".

Mr. Nguyen Huu Dac - Head of Vinh Market Management Board said: Up to now, the number of traders who have reopened for business is only about 60%, the rest are still temporarily closed. The reason may be that the market has not warmed up yet at the beginning of the year, so traders have not opened early. Besides, according to the concept that January is the month of festivals held in the province, so traders may still be resting and enjoying the Spring. It is expected that in about a week, the number of traders will return to full business."

At Vinh Ga Market, the situation is similar. While the stalls selling meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, etc., essential for daily life, have become bustling again, the remaining stalls are still deserted and consumption is slow. A representative of Vinh Ga Market Management Board said: The entire market has 450 traders with nearly 1,700 kiosks. Since Tet, traders have been gradually opening their shops, but it is still not 100% full. Business is only bustling at the food stalls, the remaining kiosks are still empty.

Not only the traders at the markets, but also many businesses on the streets are still closed after Tet. For example, Vo Thi Sau Street, connecting Truong Thi and Ben Thuy wards, on the morning of February 10, there was still a long row of closed kiosks, not yet open for business. For the reopened stores, purchasing power was moderate, there was no excitement, especially the restaurants and beauty shops, serving the needs of meeting and going out in the spring at the beginning of the year.
