On August 15, 2019, some residents of Khe Sai 2 hamlet, Nghia Loc commune (Nghia Dan) reported that a livestock farm in Khe Den stream dumped many dead pigs into the pond right next to the livestock area, causing a serious stench. About a month ago, the commune inspected and discovered 6 or 7 pig carcasses floating in the pond. The commune government has made a record of the incident. Previously, this farm was also administratively fined by the authorities, but Mr. Huan did not cooperate. "Even when we called them (Mr. Huan's family), they did not answer the phone. We also had difficulty going to this farm to check for African swine fever," Mr. Cuong added.
