Group of 6 inter-district thieves in Nghe An caught
(Baonghean.vn) - Six people aged 16 to 24 gathered during the day at motels and hotels to use crystal meth and play games, and at night they went to houses and temples to steal property.
On the afternoon of June 3, the Investigation Police Agency (Nghi Loc District Police) announced that the unit had just successfully broken up Project 519T, eliminating a group of 6 subjects specializing in stealing property in houses and temples in Nghi Loc, Dien Chau districts and Cua Lo town.
The subjects arrested in the case are: Le Thanh Tu (born 2000), Dang Hong Quan (born 1999), Nguyen Huu Quan (born 2001), Nguyen Hung Anh (born 2003), Nguyen Van Thang (born 2000) all residing in Nghi Trung commune, Nghi Loc district and Nguyen Viet An (born 1995), hometown in hamlet 15, Nghi Lien commune, Vinh city.

Project 519T was established by Nghi Loc District Police to combat property theft after cases of chickens, laptops, phones, televisions, safes in people's homes and money from donation boxes at several temples were continuously stolen in Nghi Loc, Dien Chau districts and Cua Lo town.
Using professional measures, the 519T Project initially identified Dang Hong Quan, Nguyen Huu Quan and Nguyen Viet An as the three subjects who specialized in stealing chickens from people's houses.
On May 30, the task force received information: early that morning, An and some other people brought many snake skins suspected of containing chickens to An's rented room in Hamlet 11, Nghi Trung Commune. Nghi Loc District Police leaders decided to break up Project 519T.
On the morning of May 30, the working group of the Criminal Police - Economic - Drug Team (Nghi Loc District Police) urgently arrested and searched Nguyen Viet An's boarding house in Hamlet 11, Nghi Trung Commune. Here, the authorities seized dozens of chickens, totaling approximately 30kg. The subjects: Dang Hong Quan and Nguyen Huu Quan were also arrested shortly after.
During the investigation, Nguyen Viet An, Dang Hong Quan, and Nguyen Huu Quan confessed that they stole the chickens on the night of May 29 from the house of Tran Thi Phuong, residing in Hamlet 10, Nghi Truong Commune, and the family of Dang Manh Hung, residing in Hamlet 8, Nghi Hoa Commune. The three suspects also confessed that the group of thieves also included Le Thanh Tu, Nguyen Hung Anh, and Nguyen Van Thang.

Since mid-February 2019, these 6 subjects have continuously committed many thefts of property in houses and temples. Typically, on the evening of February 14, the subjects broke into the Nen Le temple, Phu Hau village, Dien Tan commune, Dien Chau district, broke into the donation box using a safe and stole about 4 million VND and some other documents. Then, in the early morning of May 20, this group broke into the house of Mr. Nguyen Van Truong, residing in Khanh Den hamlet, Nghi Khanh commune, and stole a 42-inch Samsung TV, a Samsung A10 mobile phone, a Nokia 350 phone and 250,000 VND in cash. The total value of the stolen property was over 15 million VND...
These subjects are all drug addicts and are currently being detained for investigation.
