Karaoke murder gang caught on the run
Driving a pickup truck to escape after slashing someone to death in a karaoke bar in Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Dinh Phong, 26 years old, and his accomplice were stopped by traffic police when they arrived in Khanh Hoa.
On February 17, after fleeing the scene in a pickup truck for 350 km, Nguyen Dinh Phong (26 years old), Luan (30 years old), Nguyen Hoang Duy Khuong (17 years old) and Dao Minh Truc (31 years old) were arrested by the Traffic Police of Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province, on National Highway 1.
Currently, the suspects have been extradited to Ho Chi Minh City to serve the investigation.

Earlier that morning, these four people and some young men had fought with homemade knives and three-pronged weapons at the intersection of Pham Van Dong and Phan Van Tri, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. One injured person ran into a karaoke bar 50 meters away for help and hid on the first floor.
Luan and his accomplices broke into the bar.karaokelooking for someone but was prevented from doing so, he slashed the male employee to death, injuring the manager and a customer. All four then got into a pickup truck and fled.
Binh Thanh District Police sent information about the vehicle color, license plate number and identifying features of the 4 suspects to Ninh Hoa Town Traffic Police Station to request coordination in arresting them. The station sent a plainclothes team to conduct reconnaissance on Highway 1. When the red Chevrolet was discovered, the police deployed forces to surround and arrest the suspects at 1 p.m.
