A group of young men carrying knives, iron pipes, bricks and stones fought in the middle of the night.

On December 20, the Investigation Police Agency of Nam Dan District Police announced: The unit has just issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute Phan Van Thanh (born in 1989), residing in Lam Son block, Nam Dan town for the crime of Intentional Infliction of Injury; Nguyen Van Hieu (born in 1999), Tong Van Tam (born in 1990), Tran Quoc Khanh (born in 2001), Nguyen Van Cuong (born in 1996), Nguyen The Dat (born in 2001), all residing in Nam Dan town, and Le Huu Thang (born in 1997), Pham Minh Hoan (born in 1999), all residing in Van Dien commune, Nam Dan district, for the crime of Disturbing public order.

At around 11:00 p.m. on November 29, 2019, due to a minor conflict in words, at Sen market area, Nam Son hamlet, Van Dien commune, Nam Dan district, Nguyen Van Hieu's group of young men and Nguyen The Dat's group used their hands and feet to punch and kick each other.

Because he was at a disadvantage, Hieu called Tong Van Tam and Phan Van Thanh for support.

After Hieu's phone call, Tong Van Tam drove a motorbike carrying a knife, while Phan Van Thanh carried an iron pipe with Tran Quoc Khanh to Hieu's place. After that, Hieu's group went to look for Dat's group but could not find them. A while later, they discovered Hoan holding a glass plate with Le Huu Thang, Pham The Tai, Nguyen The Dat, Nguyen Van Hai standing at the bus stop, so Hieu's group approached.

Here, the two groups continued to argue and challenge each other, leading to the use of iron pipes, sticks, bricks and stones to fight. Phan Van Thanh used the iron pipe to hit Pham The Tai's legs and shoulders, causing him to fall down. Nguyen Van Hieu also used the iron pipe to hit Tai on the head.

After being beaten, the group of Le Huu Thang, Pham The Tai, Nguyen Van Hai, Nguyen The Dat, Pham Minh Hoan ran away to a nearby restaurant. Then, this group, some holding knives, some holding porcelain bowls, turned back to chase and beat Nguyen Van Hieu's group. Hieu's group including Hieu, Khanh, Cuong and Thanh were also not "easy" when they held knives, iron pipes, bricks and stones and rushed in to fight with Le Huu Thang's group. In which, Phan Van Thanh used an iron pipe to hit Nguyen Van Hai's head hard from above, causing Hai to lose consciousness on the spot. Seeing Hai being beaten unconscious, Le Huu Thang's group ran away.

Nguyen Van Hai and Pham The Tai were then taken by local people to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment. There, Nguyen Van Hai's disability assessment was 48%.

Immediately after receiving the information, Nam Dan District Police quickly arrived at the scene. Upon discovering the police, the two groups of young men abandoned their weapons and ran away. At the scene, the police seized two iron pipes, three knives of various types, and some bricks and stones.

Knowing that they could not escape, on November 30, 2019, some subjects surrendered to the Nam Dan District Police. On the same day, the Investigation Police Agency of Nam Dan District Police summoned the related subjects to the headquarters for questioning.

At the police station, the subjects Phan Van Thanh, Nguyen Van Hieu, Tong Van Tam, Tran Quoc Khanh, Nguyen Van Cuong, Nguyen The Dat, Le Huu Thang and Pham Minh Hoan admitted their crimes and confessed the process of the incident.

Currently, the case is under further investigation and expansion.
