This time, Con Cuong district distributed nearly 4 tons of rice to more than 300 poor households and families in difficult circumstances affected by the Covid-19 epidemic in the communes of Bong Khe, Yen Khe, Luc Da and Mon Son (each household will be supported with 10 kg of rice), with a total value of nearly 60 million VND.

The cost of buying the above rice was directly donated by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Con Cuong District Party Committee and friends via Facebook Nguyen Dinh Hung, the rest was donated by individuals and philanthropists.

Veteran Vu Huu Long was born in 1954, enlisted in 1972, and fought in the resistance war against the US. After the liberation of the South in 1975, he was demobilized and returned to his hometown.Despite his efforts in production, his family encountered many difficulties. Mr. Long himself was often sick... For many years, his family lived in a dilapidated level 4 house but had no means to repair it.Faced with that situation, the Quynh Luu Veterans Association reviewed the application and decided to support the construction of a gratitude house for the family of veteran Vu Huu Long. After 2 months of construction, the spacious level 4 house was inaugurated and handed over to the family, worth 120 million VND. Of which, the District Veterans Association supported 50 million VND, the But Thanh Village Veterans Association contributed working days for the construction, and the rest was the family's efforts.

On this occasion, representatives of An Hoa commune government and mass organizations also presented the family of veteran Vu Huu Long with some household items./.
