Beliefs and expectations sent to the Yen Thanh District Party Congress for the 2020 - 2025 term

Comrade Tran Dinh Duc
(73 years old in the Party, joined the District Party Committee Executive Committee since 1950, became District Party Committee Secretary in 1959, then became Deputy Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board, then worked as Department Head, Party building expert in Laos for 32 years, now retired in Ma Thanh commune):

“I am very happy to see that the district has more and more innovations, almost all the targets of the Resolution of the 26th District Party Congress have been achieved, including many high targets. An important mark in that term is that the District Party Committee focused on leading 38 communes to meet new rural standards, towns to meet urban civilized standards; the district achieved 9/9 criteria of a new rural district.

This is an achievement that other districts cannot easily achieve, thereby changing and improving the spiritual life of the people, adding many new colors to the picture of the countryside. Although it is a purely agricultural district, in recent years, Yen Thanh district has made a breakthrough in the field of socio-economic development; many industrial parks have been established and put into stable operation, creating more jobs and income for rural workers, contributing to ensuring social security.

The highlight that I, as well as the local cadres, party members and people, feel is that the district Party Committee is a consensus and united party committee from the district to the commune, all striving to complete the tasks in the new period.

(Former member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, former Head of the Propaganda Department of Yen Thanh District Party Committee):

“In the past term, the District Party Committee has selected key issues, key stages and selected many breakthroughs to implement the congress targets. Along with socio-economic development, the District Party Committee has always paid attention to Party building work, in which the greatest success is the solidarity and unanimity of the District Party Committee Executive Committee and the consensus of the people.

What is clear in the work of organizing cadres is that most of the cadres assigned by the province to be District Party Committee Secretaries always create a political atmosphere of solidarity, warm consensus, and create all conditions for them to fulfill their tasks and mature in their new positions. In addition, the District Party Committee also focuses on training and fostering young cadres, thanks to which many comrades have matured from the district. A typical example is comrade Nguyen Viet Hung, who was trusted by the District Party Committee to be elected to hold the position of District Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the District People's Council. That is a good thing for Yen Thanh district in the past term, creating trust for the Party Committee and the people".

“Each resolution and topic of the Party Committee and the government is very much in line with the people’s wishes, concretized by the Party cell with specific action programs and implemented in the most effective way. Since then, during the past term, the people of Hamlet 7 have contributed more than 2 billion VND and built more than 1 km of rural concrete roads, built road-clamping ditches, upgraded the hamlet hall, sports and entertainment areas, built flower roads, and created a green, clean, and beautiful environment.

Along with that, people have also actively transformed the economic structure by improving the efficiency of agricultural production, diversifying the types of service industry development, bringing the average income per capita to approximately 49 million VND/year, contributing to the locality reaching the new rural commune standard 2 years ahead of schedule and determined to achieve the advanced new rural commune in the shortest time.

“The Party Committee of Yen Thanh district in the new term needs to pay more attention to the field of agricultural, rural and farmer development; create all favorable conditions for farmers to access the support policies of the Party and the State. These are scientific and technical advances in agricultural production using high technology and partly support for agricultural mechanization machinery as well as steps of development together between enterprises and farmers. From there, it will help farmers gain more knowledge, skills, creativity, and master intensive farming in the fields. These are favorable conditions for farmers to have more opportunities, open up new business directions, gradually approach the fields of production, processing and consumption according to the value chain, meeting the requirements in the current trend.
