(Baonghean.vn) - For a long time, in Quy Chau district, there are many communes such as Chau Binh, Chau Hoi... where people have arbitrarily established charcoal production kilns. Especially in Quynh 2, Quynh 3 villages (Chau Binh commune), there are large-scale production sites.
Charcoal is “exported” in the following way: wood from acacia trees and garden wood is purchased, gathered in the furnace and then burned. There are dozens of charcoal kilns, each producing about 20 to 30 bags of charcoal per day. With such factories, there are many suspicions that people illegally exploit raw materials in forests that the state has assigned to households to manage and protect.

Even after being stewed, the charcoal still retains almost its original shape and size. |
Each time, a charcoal braised oven produces 25 - 30 bags, each bag sells for 30,000 - 35,000 VND. |
All the charcoal kilns in Quy Chau are made temporarily with wood as the raw material to be burned. |
In addition to firewood and timber from acacia trees and hill gardens, charcoal fuel is also exploited by people in forests that the state has assigned to people to protect and preserve. Local authorities need to have timely solutions to protect natural forests from the growing charcoal industry. |
