Hot: Vinh University announced admission scores, pedagogy majors take from 17 points

This evening (July 16), right after the Ministry of Education and Training announced the minimum score for pedagogical majors, Vinh University also announced the entrance exam scores.

Accordingly, the admission score for 12 pedagogical majors of Vinh University such as Mathematics Pedagogy, Physics Pedagogy, Literature Pedagogy, Geography Pedagogy is determined to be 17 points - equal to the minimum score applied by the Ministry of Education and Training for university pedagogical majors. The admission score is the total score of three subjects depending on the registered combination of each major. This score is 2 points higher than the minimum score of the previous school year.

For majors such as Preschool Education, Physical Education, and English Pedagogy, the entrance exam score is 23 points (in which the Aptitude and English subjects have a coefficient of 2). This score is 4 points lower than the previous school year.

Also according to the newly announced scores, this year, Vinh University has three majors with the highest scores (without coefficients) which are Hydraulic Construction Engineering and Political Science (public policy major) with 18 points. The remaining majors have a floor score of 13.5 - 14 points. Compared to 2017, Vinh University's floor score this year is 1.5 - 4 points lower (depending on the major).

Earlier, this afternoon, the Ministry of Education and Training also held a meeting to discuss the plan to determine the criteria to ensure the quality of admission to universities, colleges and intermediate schools for full-time teacher training programs in 2018. Accordingly, to ensure the quality of admission to the pedagogical sector, the Ministry has stipulated the minimum score (without coefficient) of the admission combinations to pedagogical universities for candidates taking the National High School Exam: 17.0 points for all admission combinations including 3 subjects/exams.

The minimum score (without coefficient) for the admission combinations to Pedagogical College and Secondary Pedagogical College is 15 points and 13 points.
