The characteristics of chili plants are that they are easy to grow and require little care, so they reduce investment costs and bring high income to farmers. This year, the weather is warm, favorable for chili plants to grow and develop, resulting in a good harvest, large fruits, and heavy branches. Not only is the harvest good, but chili also has a good price; currently the purchase price is 13,000 - 15,000 VND/kg... Chili plants are more effective than other crops and have a stable output, many families earn a net profit of 130 - 150 million VND/ha.
Ms. Cao Thi Tu in Hiep 2 hamlet, Nghia Lien commune added: "After boldly converting ineffective sugarcane land to grow chili, I found that chili plants are suitable for the local soil quality, the chili bears a lot of fruit, and traders come to the garden to buy. This year, my family harvested more than 7 quintals/sao, after deducting expenses, the profit is about 12 million VND/sao".

Realizing that this is an easy-to-grow variety with good disease resistance, a harvest period of up to 8 months, and a relatively stable selling price, Nghia Lien commune has expanded the area to 5 hectares for growing chili peppers.
According to Mr. Le Thanh Dan - Vice Chairman of Nghia Lien Commune People's Committee, the chili pepper plant is currently dominant, and whatever people harvest is promptly purchased by local traders, bringing in a significant source of income. The increase in chili prices has encouraged farmers to accelerate the conversion of ineffective crops, diversify agricultural products, and increase income per unit area.

Although the price of chili has increased, it is not stable because it depends on traders. Therefore, the professional agency recommends that people proactively strengthen the connection between the four houses, proactively sign production contracts, and purchase products with businesses and traders to avoid being disadvantaged.
