(Baonghean.vn) - In 2021, despite the difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Hoa Son commune (Do Luong) and the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels still called for nearly 1.5 billion VND to help people in need and in distress. In that common effort, there is a significant role and contribution of Ms. Thai Thi Nam Hoa, who has been tirelessly "sowing seeds" of solidarity for the community for decades, and is affectionately called "Ms. Hoa of the Front" by many people.

Warm the receiver, pleasing the giver

In June, the villages and fields in Hoa Son commune are immersed in the harsh summer sun. Van Yen hamlet is nestled at the foot of the mountain, not far from the commune center. In this small hamlet, the glare of the sunlight seems to be restrained by the cool green of the trees and the steam rising from the ponds. On the yard of a house that is still freshly painted and still smells of newly built lime and mortar, Ms. Thai Thi Thuy, with a smiling face, is gathering the batches of golden, dried rice into bags with her biological mother, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly.

As soon as they saw us visit, Mrs. Ly and her daughter happily went to the gate to welcome us. Holding the hand of Mrs. Thai Thi Nam Hoa - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Son commune, Mrs. Thuy shook her hand and kept boasting about her new house. Mrs. Ly smiled and explained that for a long time, Mrs. Hoa and the commune and hamlet officials had been like family members, and that my mother and I had received help from them in all our big and small matters.

The big thing that Mrs. Ly is talking about is that her daughter and her soon-to-be-born grandchild have a solid, sturdy home that she never dared to dream of in her entire life. Mrs. Ly has 4 children, 3 sons and 1 daughter, of whom 3 have abnormal working abilities and are quite slow, so they mainly rely on their parents to support them in all aspects of life. Among her children, Ms. Thai Thi Thuy is now over 40 years old, mainly living by washing dishes and cleaning for restaurants near her house and is currently a single mother.

“Thanks to the village and commune cadres, especially Ms. Nam Hoa, who regularly ask about us, care for us, and even support us with money and gifts on holidays and Tet, my family is very grateful. Thanks to the Front cadres, my daughter has such a big and beautiful house,” Ms. Ly said, pointing to the house right behind her house. The house of Ms. Thai Thi Thuy was supported by the Hoa Son Commune Fatherland Front Committee, which called for philanthropists, in combination with the Fund for the Poor, to support 110 million VND. On the day the house was completed, Ms. Thai Thi Nam Hoa and the representative of the Commune People's Committee gave Ms. Thuy and her children 20 million VND, the remaining amount was supported by benefactors through the Commune Fatherland Front. For Ms. Thuy and her children, the house is a lifelong dream, a warm love that the community has shared and encouraged, giving them more motivation to continue to rise up in life.

Not far from Ms. Thuy’s new house, also in Van Yen hamlet, we met Ms. Bui Thi Dung, who is living with her nearly 90-year-old mother, also a single mother raising her daughter in her final year of university in Ho Chi Minh City. For more than 3 years now, Ms. Dung has been living with her biological mother because her house has deteriorated and is unsafe. The desolate scene of the house makes everyone who witnesses it feel sad.

Ms. Dung said that because she did not have enough money to repair it, and she did not have much need for housing, she moved in with her elderly mother for convenience in taking care of her. Her mother's house was a few dozen steps away from hers. Previously, as a single mother, her mother let her build a house right in the garden. She has two younger brothers, and life is quite difficult. Currently, Ms. Bui Thi Dung is working for her younger brother to build a livestock and crop farm not far from home.

Ms. Dung confided that despite the hardships, she did not feel lonely or sad because she always had the care and encouragement of the local government. Every year on holidays, she and her children received gifts, sometimes cash, sometimes items, furniture... Her daughter, who studies far away, knows that her mother cares for her, so she is also confident in her studies.

Difficult and lonely people, those in need of housing like Ms. Thai Thi Thuy, Bui Thi Dung... are always updated regularly by the Fatherland Front of Hoa Son commune, then contacted and connected with benefactors to support and help promptly with the motto of warming the heart of the recipient, pleasing the giver.

Sharing more specifically about this method, Ms. Thai Thi Nam Hoa said: “When receiving gifts and organizing gift giving, we always prepare thoughtful content and organize solemnly, to warm the hearts of the recipients and please the givers... All gifts for the people, whether big or small, when received, we show our appreciation and deep gratitude. After completing the gift giving, the results will be widely announced on the loudspeaker, the Facebook page of the Hoa Son Commune Front and send thank you letters to organizations and individuals who have supported and responded to the call for mobilization with sincere words of gratitude”.

Thanks to that thoughtful and dedicated approach, the appeals of Ms. Thai Thi Nam Hoa, of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Son commune, have been trusted, responded to and enthusiastically supported by many people, businesses and children living far from home.

Mr. Thai Dinh Huong - Secretary of the Party Committee of Hoa Son commune said that in order for the mobilization programs to be effective, from the beginning of the year, the Fatherland Front Committee of the commune has deployed to each Front working group of the hamlets to survey poor, near-poor, and households in especially difficult circumstances with degraded and damaged houses, in need of renovation and repair to develop a support plan and mobilize support. From the survey results of the hamlets, the Fatherland Front officers of the commune report to the Party Committee, classify the subjects to develop a specific plan on the implementation roadmap. For cases with Land Use Right Certificates belonging to poor households, they advise the Party Committee to support from the "Fund for the Poor" source, or ask for support from higher levels.

In cases where there is no Land Use Rights Certificate, especially difficult circumstances, single, and incapable of doing so, ask for the policy of the Party Committee, coordinate with the commune and hamlet organizations to mobilize support; choose the appropriate time to mobilize support for each target to call for support. Poor and disabled students will call for support at the beginning of the new school year... In other cases where the conditions for support are not met, the hamlet Front Committee will be instructed to report to the Party Committee, ask for the Party Committee's policy to call for support, and the Commune Fatherland Front Standing Committee will actively support to call for benefactors, contributing to the success of the support campaigns in the hamlet.

Spread the responsibility of setting an example

“Not only personally calling for and coordinating with mass organizations and government committees, but Ms. Thai Thi Nam Hoa herself is also a pioneer in supporting movements, appeals, and campaigns, in line with the spirit of “party members going first”. For many years now, Ms. Hoa has regularly donated more than 10 million VND each year to movements in hamlets and communes,” said Mr. Thai Dinh Tung - Secretary of Minh Tho Party Cell, Hoa Son Commune. Minh Tho is also the Party Cell where the Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hoa Son Commune, Thai Thi Nam Hoa, participates in activities as both a party member at the place of residence and a member of the Standing Committee of the Commune Party Committee to monitor and take charge of the grassroots. After the merger, Vu Vu and Minh Tho hamlets became Minh Tho hamlet in 2019. With 77 party members, Minh Tho is the party cell with the largest number of party members in the commune. Each meeting has many enthusiastic opinions, especially regarding contributions and appeals for building advanced new rural hamlets.

In that contribution, Ms. Thai Thi Nam Hoa is a party member who has many opinions on the implementation of the Party cell's resolution on building advanced new rural hamlets in the first quarter of 2022, and is an active leader in calling for contributions and support. "Up to now, the Party cell committee has agreed, along with the pioneering leadership of Party members and Front cadres, to mobilize people and businesses to contribute 327 million VND, combined with the State's cement support, to complete 1.2km of concrete road in the hamlet. It is expected that in 2022, Minh Tho Party cell will strive to successfully build a Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful residential area; in 2023, the remaining 2km of concrete road will be completed, the flagpole system and lighting system will be completed to meet the standards of advanced new rural hamlets", said Mr. Thai Dinh Tung.

The Minh Tho Party Committee official also said that party member Thai Thi Nam Hoa, in addition to taking on the role of Chairwoman of the Commune Fatherland Front, actively participating in most movements in the hamlet and commune, is also loved by the people for her diligence and care for her family. Thai Thi Nam Hoa has 2 children, her husband is a border guard soldier far from home. In her hometown, she still does her national work well, raising her children to be well-educated and well-behaved. The couple's eldest daughter is married, and the youngest son is currently completing his doctoral thesis in Information Technology in the US.

Sharing about her family's encouragement, Ms. Nam Hoa said, "The understanding and support of her husband and the obedience of her children are the motivation for her to strive to complete all tasks and overcome the hardships of female grassroots movement cadres. Moreover, being able to contribute to the development of her hometown and help those in need is also her happiness."

In 2021, Ms. Thai Thi Nam Hoa advised and worked with the Party Committee, government, and organizations of Hoa Son commune to organize the Tet For The Poor Program, support the Fund for the Poor, build solidarity houses, support the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic... with a total amount of nearly 1.5 billion VND. Ms. Thai Thi Nam Hoa was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; for 3 consecutive years she was a grassroots Emulation Fighter, an outstanding party member, and many other Certificates of Merit. Previously, in 2015, she was one of the delegates of Nghe An province who was honored to attend the National Patriotic Emulation Congress in Hanoi.

Ms. Nam Hoa always believes that, for Front cadres, we must always remember Uncle Ho's teachings: The activities of the Fatherland Front must always demonstrate the principle of "above for the country, below for the family, one is to benefit the country, two is to benefit the people". Therefore, each assigned task will strive to perform well the role, function and task of a grassroots cadre, especially a Fatherland Front cadre in consolidating and promoting the strength of national solidarity; wholeheartedly and wholeheartedly with the work. Whenever a Front cadre does well in following the reality, being close to the people, understanding the people, respecting and listening to the people's opinions, he will be trusted and supported by the people. In addition, when carrying out campaigns and patriotic emulation movements, they are always under the leadership of the Party Committee and the attention, direction and guidance with appropriate solutions of the Fatherland Front Committee at a higher level; at the same time, building specific and practical action programs suitable to the actual situation in the locality to achieve the highest efficiency./.
