Taiwanese female lawmakers fight in the middle of a session
Two female Taiwanese lawmakers got into a physical altercation during a live-streamed debate on the island's infrastructure reform plan.
The brawl broke out after opposition lawmakers from the Kuomintang (KMT) booed and protested against Taiwanese leader Tsai Ing-wen's plan.
Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) lawmaker Chiu Yi-ying (46) walked up to the group of KMT lawmakers to debate and was met with resistance from female KMT lawmaker Hsu Shu-hua (41).

The two women then got into a scuffle, with Ms. Chiu even getting slapped in the face. Taiwan's Legislative Yuan Speaker Su Chia-chyuan has repeatedly called for restraint from both sides.
The session was adjourned after the brawl between the female lawmakers. Speaking to the media, Ms. Chiu said she was attacked by Ms. Hsu and other female lawmakers, and accused the opposition party of "starting the fight."
Meanwhile, Ms. Hsu expressed remorse for her actions, but said she would not personally apologize to the DPP lawmaker./.
