On the morning of August 13, Mr. Ho Trong Xuan in Dong Tam hamlet, Quynh Bang commune (Quynh Luu) informed that after many days of being missing, Ho Thi Thanh Thao (born 2006) contacted her family and said that she was working as a maid at a restaurant in Vinh city.

Through information gathered from her, during her stay in Vinh City, Thao lost her phone and could not remember her relatives' numbers, so she could not call home. Recently, she went on Facebook to message her relatives in her hometown and let her family know that she was safe. When she learned that she was working at a restaurant in Vinh City, her family reported to the Quynh Bang Commune Police Department to withdraw the search notice.

Mr. Ho Trong Xuan (Thao's grandfather) said that Ho Thi Thanh Thao was in 8th grade but dropped out of school halfway. She lives with her grandfather because her parents are separated.
