In the qualifying round of the women's 10m air pistol, Trinh Thu Vinh won 4th place with 578 points after 60 shots.

Thu Vinh scored 10 points on the first shot. However, she fell out of the top 8, when she only scored 3 9 points in the next 5 shots.
