Breaking up a major drug case, arresting a subject carrying a loaded gun

On June 1, Vinh City Police coordinated with other units to successfully destroy a large-scale drug trafficking and transportation ring from the border districts with Laos in Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province to Vinh City and the southern provinces for consumption.

Previously, through the work of grasping the situation, Vinh City Police discovered that this line had existed for many years, run by subjects with many criminal records for drug crimes, so the operation was very sophisticated, cunning, and had a lot of experience and tricks to deal with the police.

Vinh City Police reported to the leaders of Nghe An Provincial Police, agreeing to establish Project 418D chaired by Vinh City Police, in coordination with Department PA71 (Provincial Police) and Thanh Chuong District Police, to fight and eradicate.

At 9:30 a.m. on June 1, in the area of ​​National Highway 8A, Hoang Nam village, Son Tay commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province, the Special Task Force coordinated with the Huong Son District Police (Ha Tinh) to arrest two subjects for "Illegal drug trafficking" namely Nguyen Huu Ngan (born in 1980, residing in Ngoc Khanh hamlet, Thanh Ngoc commune, Thanh Chuong district) and Le Van Thang (born in 1988, residing in block 8, Thanh Chuong town, Thanh Chuong district).

The seized exhibits included 10 kg of synthetic drugs, a loaded K54 gun and 7 bullets, a Fortuner car, more than 10 million VND in cash and 4 mobile phones.

On the afternoon of June 1, leaders of Nghe An Provincial Police and Vinh City People's Committee congratulated the Task Force. This is an especially outstanding achievement of Vinh City Police, right after the launching ceremony of the rally and parade in response to the Month of Action against Drugs (June) and the International Day against Drugs (June 26) in 2018.

To encourage the Task Force and officers and soldiers who participated in successfully solving the case, the leaders of Nghe An Provincial Police and Vinh City People's Committee have commended and requested Vinh City Police to promptly investigate and clarify the criminal acts of the subjects for handling according to the law.
