Launching the Project 'Improving Nutritional Status for Children Under 5 Years Old' in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 30, at SOS Children's Village Vinh, the launching ceremony of the project "Improving nutritional status for children under 5 years old" in Nghe An province took place.
The program is organized by Amway Vietnam in collaboration with the Nghe An Provincial Department of Health. This is part of the cooperation agreement on the Project "Improving nutritional status for children under 5 years old" in the period 2019 - 2020 that Amway Vietnam signed with the Department of Maternal and Child Health, Ministry of Health last April.
The project is part of the "Nutrilite Power of 5" campaign that Amway has been implementing in Vietnam since 2014.

The project contributes to improving children's nutritional status, helping them develop healthily from the first years of life; creating a foundation for comprehensive physical and intellectual development.
This year, through the Ministry of Health’s health care system, project activities will be implemented in a number of localities, with detailed guidance from Preventive Medicine Centers; including: improving nutrition knowledge for parents and teachers in the area and providing free multi-micronutrient supplements.
Accordingly, within 2 years, the project will provide more than 1 million boxes of nutritional products for free to more than 85,000 children in the two provinces of Nghe An and Ha Giang.

From 2015 to 2018, Amway Vietnam coordinated with the National Institute of Nutrition, Ministry of Health to organize activities to improve nutritional knowledge for parents and teachers in localities and provided more than 26,000 boxes of nutritional products to nearly 6,700 children in remote districts of Bac Giang, Lao Cai, Thanh Hoa provinces./.
