Launching the construction of a collective dining hall for boarding students in a mountainous commune

Tan Hop is a difficult highland commune of Tan Ky district, belonging to commune 135, ethnic minorities account for more than 87%. There are 671 primary and secondary school students, of which 250 are boarding students. However, currently the boarding houses are degraded, cramped, and the communal kitchen is makeshift.

With the desire to contribute efforts and help children have better learning conditions, the Standing Committee of Tan Ky District Youth Union has called for support from all levels, sectors, businesses, philanthropists and people in the district to join hands in implementing this meaningful program.

The District Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee and Youth Union of Vinh Linh District, Quang Tri province donated 150 million VND.

The project has received much affection and support from leaders, youth union members and people of Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri province and is considered a meaningful political work of Tan Ky and Vinh Linh districts.

At the launching ceremony, the District Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee and Youth Union of Vinh Linh District, Quang Tri Province donated 150 million VND. Enterprises and companies in Tan Ky District donated nearly 100 million VND to the project, and officials and people of Tan Hop Commune donated 150 million VND. The project is expected to start construction and be put into use in time for the opening of the new school year 2018 - 2019./.
