More than 200 boxes of explosive precursors were discovered on a passenger bus.
(Baonghean.vn) - While patrolling and controlling traffic on National Highway 1A, working group No. 2, Dien Chau Traffic Police Station (PC 67 CANA) discovered 200 boxes (more than 100 kg) of explosive precursors transported with passengers on a vehicle to the South.
Accordingly, at 1:15 a.m. this morning (August 15), while patrolling and controlling traffic on National Highway 1A at km 418 in Dien Hong commune, Dien Chau district (Nghe An), the working group discovered a passenger bus with license plate 29B - 609.76 with many suspicious signs and immediately signaled to stop for inspection.

Through inspection in the passenger compartment, there were 200 boxes of explosive precursors weighing 108 kg with the chemical composition of sodium nirate nano3. The above amount of explosive precursors violated section 3 of Circular No. 13/2018/TT BCT dated June 15, 2018 on the list of explosive precursors used to produce explosives.
Driver Duong Van Nam (born in 1982), residing in Ninh Phuc, Ninh Binh City (Ninh Binh Province) confessed to transporting the above goods for a shipper from Hanoi to Ninh Thuan for wages.
The working group has drawn up a record to temporarily detain the vehicle and evidence and hand them over to Dien Chau District Police for handling.
