Promoting the role and qualities of propaganda officers and political theory lecturers

The introductory report and 11 comments at the Workshop all affirmed that protecting the Party's ideological foundation is the fundamental, important, and vital content of Party building and rectification work; it is the top priority task of the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army, in which the team of propaganda and political theory teaching cadres is the core force.

At the workshop, on behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, delivered the opening speech, affirming that in recent times, Party committees and Party organizations at all levels have been proactive and actively implementing many measures, mobilizing the entire political system and cadres and party members, including cadres working in propaganda and political theory lecturers in the fight against and refuting false and distorted information and viewpoints of the parties.hostile forces, contributing to preventing bad and toxic information flows; preventing manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the organization, creating a healthy environment for socio-economic development in the province.

However, the mobilization and assignment of tasks to cadres and party members to participate in protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous viewpoints is not very effective.

Promoting the sense of responsibility and proactiveness of the team of cadres doing propaganda work and political theory lecturers to participate in protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints is still limited...

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department also said that the organization of the Workshop aims to clarify scientific arguments and solutions in the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in Nghe An province, as well as promoting the role and capacity of the propaganda staff and political theory lecturers in protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the coming time.

The introductory report and 11 comments at the Workshop all affirmed that protecting the Party's ideological foundation is the basic, important, and vital content of the Party building and rectification work, and is the top priority task of the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army, in which the team of propaganda and political theory teaching cadres is the core force, playing a decisive and important role in protecting the Party and the socialist regime in our country.

The workshop also pointed out the plots, methods, and tricks of propaganda, dissemination, distortion, and sabotage of the Party's ideological foundation, the Party and the State by hostile forces; plots and tricks to distort Ho Chi Minh's thought; the practical work of fighting against erroneous and hostile information and viewpoints, and protecting the Party's ideological foundation in Nghe An province in recent times, and some lessons learned in this work.

In order to continue to be proactive, strengthen the fight, protect the Party's ideological foundation, refute erroneous and hostile viewpoints through propaganda activities and teaching, education and fostering political theory, the Workshop focused on clarifying the requirements and promoting the role and capacity of the team of cadres doing propaganda work, journalists and political theory lecturers as well as innovating the organization of political theory teaching, meeting the requirements of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting and refuting erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the new situation...

Requirements for the qualities and abilities of propaganda officers include having strong political will, ethics, a pure and healthy lifestyle, having "heart" and "vision", being passionate, dedicated and having good speaking and writing skills...

For the teaching staff, in addition to solid political theory, they need to have rich practical knowledge to meet the requirements of teaching and scientific research serving teaching work.

Enhance the responsibility of cadres and party members

Speaking at the Workshop, from the practical experience of directing propaganda work and protecting the Party's ideological foundation, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee shared a lot of valuable information and experience as well as raised a number of concerns that Party committees, Party organizations, cadres and Party members need to pay attention to.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that in order to effectively fight and refute wrong, hostile, and distorted viewpoints and protect the Party's ideological foundation, in addition to specialized forces, it is necessary to gather, attract, build, and use a team of collaborators with the same ideals and aspirations in society to support.

On the other hand, it is important to focus on propaganda methods associated with mobilization and persuasion, because each person has good and bad sides, sometimes good and sometimes bad, or has temporary and incorrect perceptions and thoughts; at the same time, approaching the problem for propaganda and struggle must be extremely dialectical.

Presenting current concerns: The role and responsibility of cadres and party members in participating in the fight against and refuting false and distorted information on social networks is not high and not effective, comrade Nguyen Van Thong suggested that Party committees and organizations at all levels in their activities need to orient, encourage and create conditions for cadres and party members to participate in fulfilling their responsibility to protect the Party's guidelines and fight against distorted information from hostile forces; at the same time, it is necessary to periodically include this content in the assessment and review of Party organizations and cadres and party members.

Concluding the workshop, Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Van Hoan - Deputy Director of the Regional Political Academy I emphasized: Protecting the Party's ideological foundation is a matter of principle, one of the basic, important, consistent and comprehensive viewpoints in the Party's theoretical viewpoint system, directly related to the Party's ideology and our socialist regime. Therefore, protecting the Party's ideological foundation is the top priority task of the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people; in which, the propaganda force and lecturers in the system of political schools play a core role and position.

Therefore, the requirement for those doing propaganda work is to propagate according to the proactive motto, "information goes first to pave the way", improve the quality of forecasts and prepare a solid system of scientific arguments to combine construction and opposition, both protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against the distorted and destructive arguments of hostile forces.

The role and responsibility of the team of political theory lecturers is to identify, research, and summarize practices. Through the teaching process, students will have the knowledge, scientific arguments, and experience to have the capacity to identify and fight against the false and distorted voices of hostile forces.
