On the afternoon of November 29, Nghe An Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center organized a Conference on Developing Nghe An tourism products associated with the national tourism brand in linking the North Central tourism region.

Attending the Conference, on the Central side, there were comrades: Nguyen Trung Khanh - Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism; Nguyen Quoc Ky - Chairman of Vietnam Culinary Culture Association, Chairman of Vietravel Group; Truong Quoc Hung - Chairman of UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Thi Thanh An - Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism; Nguyen Manh Loi - Director Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion, and representatives of tourism businesses in the area.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Manh Loi - Director Nghe An Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center stated: For tourism, linkage is an objective requirement for development. Linkage helps expand tourism space, promote the advantages of parties to form diverse and attractive products, enhance competitive advantages, create strength for promoting destinations, attracting investment and promoting inter-regional economic spread.

LocalitiesNorth Central regionAll possess diverse terrains of plains, hills, midlands with many waterfalls, caves, beautiful beaches..., suitable for developing all types of tourism. With these advantages, the provinces of the North Central region in general, Nghe An province in particular, have made significant progress.

Up to now, Nghe An province has 928 accommodation establishments with 22,032 rooms, including 4 5-star hotels, 10 4-star hotels, 28 3-star hotels and nearly 16 1-2 star hotels, 69 travel companies and branches; there are 30 tourist attractions recognized by the Provincial People's Committee.

In the first 11 months of 2024, the number of tourists to Nghe An reached 9,110,000, equal to 114% over the same period in 2023, of which the number of overnight guests reached 5,740,000, equal to 113% over the same period in 2023; total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND 27,841 billion.

Nghe An tourism is focusing on building and gradually affirming its brand with solutions: Focusing on exploiting unique values ​​and promoting tourism resources such as Cua Lo beach, Western districts, President Ho Chi Minh's hometown and intangible cultural heritage.

At the Conference, delegates discussed and exchanged solutions to build new products, promote the development of tourism types that are strengths of the North Central region and Nghe An such as: sea tourism, spiritual and cultural tourism, eco-tourism and community tourism...

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh - Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism suggested: Nghe An tourism industry needs to clearly identify its own characteristics, focusing on unique cultural values, such as the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh, Nghe Tinh's Vi and Giam singing; promote links with provinces in the region to take advantage of regional advantages, creating overall strength for sustainable tourism development.

In the context of a rapidly changing global economy, developing smart tourism and exploiting innovative tourism models, combiningcultural heritageand digital technology will be an important key for Nghe An to maintain sustainable development, enhancing the competitiveness of provincial tourism on the international tourism map.

At the same time, promote the development and training of human resources, especially local tour guides with extensive knowledge of culture and history. This is an important condition to ensure the quality of tourism products, contributing to improving competitiveness.
