Criticizing the Party Committee and authorities of communes in Yen Thanh for being negligent and subjective about African swine fever
(Baonghean.vn) - The Standing Committee of Yen Thanh District Party Committee has summoned and criticized the Secretaries and Chairmen of the People's Committees of the communes for being negligent and subjective about African swine fever, and at the same time directed drastic measures to prevent and control the epidemic.
On July 29, the Standing Committee of Yen Thanh District Party Committee convened the Secretaries and Chairmen of the People's Committees of the communes: Dong Thanh, Nhan Thanh, Nam Thanh, Van Thanh, Phuc Thanh... which are localities with complicated epidemic developments to lead and direct the prevention and control of African swine fever.
Previously, on July 28, Nghe An Electronic Newspaper published an article: Yen Thanh communes "hotspots" of African swine fever removed control posts and did not manage slaughter.

In particular, the Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thanh and Nhan Thanh communes were criticized for being negligent and subjective in directing the organization of prevention, control and containment of African swine fever in the locality.
The Standing Committee of Yen Thanh District Party Committee requested Party committees and authorities at all levels to organize and strengthen the Steering Committee for African swine fever prevention and control at the commune level. Assign communes and towns to review and continue to set up checkpoints at necessary locations to control and prevent the disease.
Communes proactively provide materials, chemicals, lime powder, and regularly spray disinfectants in places where there are and have been outbreaks and places at risk of spreading the disease. Direct the organization of handling sick pigs (transportation, burial) according to the procedures and instructions of veterinary agencies.

Sectors have increased patrols and inspections to detect and handle violations in the trading, transportation and slaughter of pigs in epidemic areas.
