Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong attended the early opening ceremony in the extremely disadvantaged commune of Huu Khuong.
(Baonghean.vn) - Huu Khuong is one of the poorest communes in Nghe An province and the whole country, isolated between mountains and forests and Ban Ve hydroelectric lake. To reach the commune center, you have to take a boat for about 3 hours in the middle of the lake.
On the morning of September 4, Huu Khuong Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities held the opening ceremony of the new school year 2019 - 2020.
Attending the event were comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors; leaders of Tuong Duong district.

Located deep in the heart of Ban Ve hydroelectric lake, Huu Khuong Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities is a unique unit as it is isolated from the district center nearly 60 km away, with many shortages in facilities and teaching conditions.

Despite many difficulties, the school's teachers and students constantly strive to teach well and study well, and discipline is always maintained. In the 2018-2019 school year, the whole school had 7 students with excellent academic performance and 43 students with good academic performance. Of which, nearly 70% of students have good conduct, and the junior high school graduation rate is over 97.5%.
The quality of the school's management staff and teachers is constantly improving. Up to now, the school has 10 individuals achieving the title of Advanced Laborer, 1 individual achieving the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level, and 1 individual receiving a Certificate of Merit from the District People's Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong expressed his joy and excitement when joining the atmosphere to welcome the new school year with the school. Comrade Nguyen Van Thong highly appreciated the efforts that the school has achieved in the past time when upholding the motto: Not only teaching but also contributing significantly to shaping the personality of students, overcoming difficulties to study well, and striving to assert themselves.

Promoting the achievements, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong hopes that teachers and students of the school will continue to promote creativity, enhance the spirit of overcoming difficulties to continue to reap more achievements in the teaching and learning career.
He suggested that Party committees and authorities at all levels also need to pay attention and provide practical and specific support for the school.

Entering the new school year, comrade Nguyen Van Thong also hopes that students will be obedient, eager to learn and self-disciplined in their studies, creating the premise for a better future.

On this occasion, in order to encourage and motivate students to strive to overcome difficulties and achieve high academic achievements, the charity group Niem Tin organized to present many meaningful gifts to teachers and students of the school. The group donated to the school a sanitary facility consisting of 8 rooms worth 120 million VND; 170 sets of textbooks, a projector system, television, water purifier and more than 18 million VND in cash. The total value of the gifts was more than 250 million VND.
