(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 23, on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023), the delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front visited and offered flowers and incense at the Kim Lien Special National Relic Site (Nam Dan) and visited and presented gifts to war invalids and heroic Vietnamese mothers in Nghe An.

The delegation was led by Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Representatives of Nghe An province welcomed and attended the ceremony with comrades: Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province; leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Nam Dan district, Nghi Loc district.

At the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site, respectfully offering a basket of fresh flowers and a stick of incense, comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Vice President, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the delegation expressed their infinite gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh - who devoted and sacrificed his whole life for the cause of national liberation, class liberation, for peace and happiness of the Vietnamese people and people around the world.

President Ho Chi Minh has passed away, but his great career and noble example will live forever with the country of Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style will always be the ideological foundation and compass for all actions, illuminating the way for the Vietnamese revolution to go from one victory to another.

During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh paid special attention to soldiers, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and relatives of martyrs. Every year, on July 27, he personally sent letters, gave gifts, visited wounded soldiers, families of martyrs, and paid tribute to heroic martyrs at cemeteries.

Before passing away, he left these instructions in his historic Testament for the entire Party, army and people: "Immediately after our people's resistance war against the US to save the country was completely victorious, the first task for people is to take care of wounded soldiers and those who contributed to the cause of national liberation and reunification."

Every year, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front calls on: Every agency, organization, and every family that is not poor to discuss and take specific action to contribute to taking care of families of martyrs, war invalids, families of policy beneficiaries, and people with meritorious services to the revolution.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, socio-political organizations and member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, media agencies and newspapers nationwide have stepped up propaganda work, mobilizing the whole society to well implement the movement "Repaying gratitude", making everyone clearly aware that this is both a sacred responsibility and an honor of every family and every Vietnamese person towards the heroic past of the nation, contributing together with the Party and State to help and take practical and effective care of people with meritorious services.

The Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front guides the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels to coordinate with socio-political organizations and other member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to promote propaganda and education on patriotic traditions, national pride and self-respect; raise awareness and responsibility of the entire political system and all classes of people in showing gratitude and caring for people with revolutionary contributions.

Continue to widely propagate and disseminate throughout society the Party's policies and the State's policies towards war invalids, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and people with meritorious services to the revolution; mobilize the establishment of the "Repaying gratitude" Fund, creating more resources with the State to care for people with meritorious services and policy families nationwide.

In this sacred moment, the delegation vowed to forever study and follow his noble ideology, morality and style.

Next, Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha visited and presented gifts to war invalids and martyrs' wives being cared for at the Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center in Nghi Phong commune, Nghi Loc district.

Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center was established in 1974, is a unit implementing military rear policy work with the task of receiving, nursing, and treating wounded, sick soldiers, and wives of martyrs. Currently, the Center is nurturing and caring for nearly 59 wounded, sick soldiers, and wives of martyrs from Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.

The Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front affirmed that over the years, the Party, the State and the Vietnam Fatherland Front have had many policies and activities to care for families with meritorious services to the revolution. He also expressed his joy that the war invalids and martyrs' wives have a good spirit, are optimistic, and are cared for and looked after carefully.

On behalf of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha respectfully sends her sincere feelings, deep gratitude, and appreciation for the great contributions and sacrifices of war invalids, families of martyrs, and families with meritorious services to the cause of national construction and defense over the past years.

He also hoped that local Party committees, authorities, and Fatherland Fronts at all levels in the province would continue to have many activities to show gratitude, care, and look after the lives and health of families with meritorious services to the revolution. Through this, the young generation would continue to be educated in the tradition of patriotism, the morality of remembering the source of water when drinking, and remembering the person who planted the tree when eating fruit.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Vice President, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front wishes war invalids, sick soldiers, and martyrs' wives good health, happiness, overcoming the pain of injuries, peace of mind in nursing, upholding the example of courage, will and bravery of "Uncle Ho's soldiers".

Also this morning, Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Dang Van An (64 years old), a 1/4 class war invalid, residing in Xuan Tien block, Hung Dung ward, Vinh city.

Mr. An is currently living with his two children. He himself is often sick and his family's circumstances are difficult.

The delegation also visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Sau (100 years old), residing in Block 13, Ben Thuy Ward, Vinh City. Sau's mother has 3 sons, including 2 sons who are martyrs: Le Huy Minh and Le Huy Tuong. The mother suffered a stroke and is currently bedridden, the remaining son also suffered a stroke and is bedridden, the family is in extremely difficult circumstances.
