(Baonghean.vn) - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu suggested that in the coming time, Que Phong and Quy Chau districts need to continue to overcome difficulties, focus on leadership and direction so that the election takes place safely, democratically, and in accordance with the law.
On the morning of May 19, the provincial working delegation led by Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the election work in Que Phong and Quy Chau districts. Also accompanying were representatives of the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

ORGANIZING EARLY ELECTIONS
In Que Phong district, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee came to inspect the work.electorin constituency No. 6 of Tay Son block, Kim Son town; constituency No. 9 of Thai Phong block where there are 981 voters with 98% of ethnic minorities living, merged from 5 villages of Pa Ca, Na Pu, Long Khong, Tam and Pa Nat of Muong Noc commune.

Next, the delegation inspected polling station No. 7 of Muong Noc commune, which is the early voting station for voters of Ha Son and Dai villages, with 386 voters (resettlement village of Chau Thang Hydropower Plant).

Que Phong DistrictThere are 105 constituencies with 45,753 voters (at the time of inspection), including 10 early voting stations. Traffic is difficult, and people live far from the polling stations.
The district has been proactive in Covid-19 epidemic prevention, arranging anti-epidemic checkpoints to control citizens entering and exiting border areas, checking each worker returning to the locality from work. If there is a subject that must be quarantined, quarantine must be organized immediately, and at the same time, the voter list must be supplemented to ensure the rights of voters.

At the same time, the district has proactive plans on early election day to ensure the election takes place safely and in accordance with regulations.
At the meeting with the provincial inspection delegation, Que Phong district mentioned the difficulties in the election work, that is, the district has deployed propaganda work through many forms through the radio system, conferences, leaflet distribution, billboards, and vivid visual propaganda posters.

However, from May 2021 to now, the district has often had thunderstorms with tornadoes affecting visual propaganda.
As an area with many workers returning from far away, it affects disease prevention and control work and voter list addition.According to regulations, all voters must declare their health before voting, but in mountainous areas with difficult transportation and voters living far from polling stations, health declaration for voters in the district is difficult.

Localities are urgently preparing the best so that election day is a festival for all people.
Through inspection and understanding of the situation, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu assessed: Although the mountainous districts still have many difficulties, the localities have prepared for the election carefully, methodically and in accordance with regulations.
However, the district is not subjective, it strengthens inspection and supervision, sends officials to polling stations to inspect, supervise, and guide hamlets, villages, and communes to overcome difficulties and errors before election day so that voters can conduct the election in the best way, with the highest voter turnout rate.

Districts need to review and prepare the best physical conditions for documents, forms, ballot boxes, seals, and provide financial support for locations with many difficulties.
At the same time, localities need to strengthen propaganda work for people to fully participate, exercise their rights and obligations as voters, and achieve the highest rate of participation in the election; at the same time, proactively fight to prevent bad guys from taking advantage of distorting and sabotaging the election.
In addition, the district needs to have plans to ensure social security and safety, ensure medical work, and prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic; and have plans to arrange isolation rooms for voters.
As for Que Phong district, a locality with 10 early voting stations, the district needs to pay attention to the election work at the early voting stations to gain experience to better direct the election taking place on May 23.
