Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh visits and presents gifts to policy families in Vinh City

(Baonghean.vn) - Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh kindly visited, encouraged, listened to the thoughts and aspirations of the families and expressed the deep gratitude of the Party and State for the sacrifices and great contributions of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded and sick soldiers in the cause of national liberation.

On the afternoon of September 1, a Government delegation led by Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh visited and presented gifts to policy families and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Vinh City.

Accompanying were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee, representatives of leaders of departments, branches and sectors at the provincial level and Vinh City.

Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh and his delegation visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, born in 1933, Hong Son Ward, Vinh City, whose two sons are martyrs.

Next, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh and the delegation visited and presented gifts to Mr. Dang Sy Ngoc, born in 1948, a 1/4 disabled veteran (81% disability), in the Middle East block, Hung Dung ward, Vinh city.

Mr. Dang Sy Ngoc enlisted in 1966 in unit C10, D15, E280 - Quang Tri Citadel, was admitted to the Party in 1967, and was injured in August 1972, at Quang Tri Citadel.

War invalid Dang Sy Ngoc was awarded many Orders, Medals, Certificates of Merit, and Certificates of Merit of all kinds by the Party, the State, and all levels and sectors. He was honored as a typical intellectual individual of the city, and was commended as a typical example in the movement of studying and following the moral example and lifestyle of Ho Chi Minh.

The delegation visited Mr. Nguyen Van Thuong, born in 1955, a 1/4 disabled veteran (95% disability), living in hamlet 21, Nghi Phu commune, Vinh city. Mr. Nguyen Van Thuong enlisted in August 1973 and was injured in 1974 in Quang Tri.

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh and the delegation visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Nguyen Quy Thong, born in 1934, a 3/4 war invalid, living in Hamlet 24, Nghi Phu Commune, Vinh City. Mr. Thong was a war invalid during the anti-French war, injured in 1953 in Laos. He then worked at the Art Troupe of Military Region IV (Mr. Thong and his wife had met and performed for Uncle Ho).

At the families he visited, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh kindly inquired, encouraged, listened to the thoughts and aspirations of the families and expressed the deep gratitude of the Party and State for the sacrifices and great contributions of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded and sick soldiers to the cause of national liberation and reunification.

The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister requested local authorities to continue to care for policy families and meritorious people in the area and hoped that Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids and policy families would continue to promote revolutionary traditions, strive to improve their lives, educate their children and grandchildren to follow their example, and contribute to building an increasingly prosperous and civilized homeland.
