Like many other parents, for many years, every Mid-Autumn Festival, Ms. Vi Thau Khun, in Pieng Luong village, Nhon Mai commune (Ms. Khun has a grandchild studying at Pieng Luong school) prepares a bag of gifts to join hands with the school to organize the Mid-Autumn Festival. Ms. Khun shared: “My family's circumstances are difficult. We don't have any money, so whatever we have at home, I bring to the school to contribute to organize for the children. One year it's sugarcane, another year it's a few grapefruits, jicama, bananas... there has never been a year that my family doesn't voluntarily contribute. Not only me but almost all the parents are very happy to contribute some gifts to organize the Mid-Autumn Festival for the children." Photo: Dinh Tuan |

Ms. Vi Thi Hien - Principal of Nhon Mai Kindergarten said: "The school is located in a border area, the lives of people here are facing many difficulties. Therefore, their children also suffer many disadvantages compared to their peers in more favorable localities. To compensate for the children, in addition to daily care work, the school must organize a Mid-Autumn Festival for the children no matter how difficult it is. In recent years, every Mid-Autumn Festival, in addition to the support of local authorities, parents have also voluntarily joined hands with the school to organize a more complete Mid-Autumn Festival for the children."
